Reviews for Tiger & Bunny 1

Booklist Reviews 2013 May #2
Thanks to the hit show Hero TV, ratings are sky-high for the superheroes of Stern Bild. For all of them, that is, except veteran hero Wild Tiger, who would rather catch bad guys than make sure his corporate sponsor's logo shows up on camera. Forced by his employer to team up with a younger, more photogenic newcomer, Wild Tiger now has to catch bad guys while saddled with a partner who is a better detective than superhero. The first volume of this series, based on the popular anime of the same name, follows much the same story line as the original TV show. The "right over corporate might" plotline works as well on paper as it does on screen, and the charm and wit of the characters have been retained. The artwork is clean, expressive, and conveys much of the humor and action fans of the show will be looking for while giving readers new to the series enough consistency to hold on to while they get caught up with the story.
