Reviews for Whistle for Willie

Horn Book Guide Reviews 1998
This classic story seems poorly suited for the board book format. Toddlers may find the dachshund appealing, but they won't appreciate the text (it's not very brief) or the subject matter (how many toddlers are learning to whistle?). The vibrant collages--stunning in the original picture book--weren't intended to attract babies.Copyright 1998 Horn Book Guide Reviews

PreS-Gr 1-- This translation of Keat's ever-popular story of a young boy who is determined to learn how to whistle holds the same charm as his English version. However, Peter is still Peter rather than Pedro and Willie remains Willie. Copyright 1992 Cahners Business Information.
