Tamar E. Chansky, Ph.D., is a psychologist and author of the popular self-help books Freeing Your Child from Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Freeing Your Child from Negative Thinking, and Freeing Yourself from Anxiety. Dr. Chansky frequently appears on radio and television programs and has been quoted in numerous magazines and newspapers, including the New York Times, US News and World Report, The Chicago Tribune, Parents, Redbook, Child, and Working Mother. She is the founder and director of the Children's and Adult Center for OCD and Anxiety in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, as well as the creator of the educational website worrywisekids.org. Tamar lives in Philadelphia with her husband and two daughters.
